Our fabulous Primary School in Leatherhead is looking for Learning Support Assistants.

We are looking for people who will support our children to achieve their best and fill them with a joy of learning. Our motto is ‘all things are possible for one who believes’ and we are committed to this vision in our teaching and across all school life.

Experience as an LSA isn’t essential as we are committed to developing and training our staff and utilising the skills people can bring to the role. What is vital is that you enjoy working with children and find pleasure and excitement in helping children to learn new things, discover their talents and support them to overcome the difficulties they can face. It is also essential that you are flexible, adaptable and willing to problem solve and work as a team with a wide range of colleagues.

The position is open for an immediate start (or as soon as possible) and is a permanent fulltime role.

Depending on your skill set and preferences, we have opportunities in both the lower and upper key stages.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has excellent communication skills
  • May have experience working in a role with children or childcare
  • Is a creative, forward thinking person who has high expectations of the children
  • Is enthusiastic with a sense of humour
  • Able to display a confident, positive and pro-active attitude towards pupils and their work
  • Can manage and organise their time effectively
  • Enjoys working collaboratively with others
  • Is comfortable with administering basic first aid and intimate care when necessary
  • Is flexible and adaptable and relishes new challenges

What we offer you

  • The School benefits from being a modern bespoke building and is set in beautiful grounds, with excellent transport links, walking distance from Leatherhead station and ample onsite parking.
  • Graded ‘Good’ in latest Ofsted Report June 2019
  • 2 Form Entry
  • Creative & Modern ethos
  • Brilliant staff team – Welcoming and supportive
  • A commitment to staff development
  • A commitment to staff wellbeing with an established well-being team and a focus on workload management
  • An approachable and supportive governing body
  • A school located in the South East Surrey close to many areas of outstanding natural beauty

If you are you looking to start/develop your career alongside a friendly and supportive team in a dynamic and creative environment then please contact Rob Clement for more information about the role. Visits to the school are very welcome!
