This is an exciting opportunity to join the Safeguarding team at Leicester College. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Safeguarding Officer to join our Student Services team. You will work closely with the Designated Safeguarding Lead and deputies to ensure the college provides timely and expert support to students, ensuring the college meets its statutory responsibilities.
You will be the first point of contact for safeguarding concerns raised by staff, students and external agencies, using your expertise to reach a positive outcome. You will also contribute to the development and review of safeguarding procedures and provide bespoke training for colleagues to ensure their knowledge is up to date. You will be comfortable in analysing data to identify trends to inform information and training.
You will have proven experience in a safeguarding or child protection role, ideally within an education setting.
The successful candidate will:
Be educated to Degree level or have substantial relevant experience
Hold a Level 2 or equivalent qualification in maths and English (GCSE grade C or above, GCSE grade 4 or above)
