About the Role 

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Lecturer in Science (Chemistry) to join our team on a part-time basis 0.7. In this role, you will primarily teach Chemistry across a range of qualifications, including GCSE Science, BTEC Level 3 Applied Science, and T Level programmes. You will also contribute to the delivery of science provision more broadly, supporting learners to achieve excellent outcomes and progress to their next steps. 

About You:

You will hold a degree in Chemistry or a closely related science subject and have experience teaching Chemistry across post-16 and/or secondary education. You will be confident planning and delivering engaging, high-quality lessons at GCSE, BTEC Level 3, and T Level, with a strong commitment to supporting learners aged 16–19 to achieve their full potential. Experience of delivering, or familiarity with, T Level programmes would be advantageous, although training and support will be provided for the right candidate. You will be an enthusiastic educator with excellent subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring the next generation of scientists.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Level 4 qualification or above (or equivalent) in a related subject
  • Level 2 minimum in Maths and English (GCSE Grade C or above, GCSE Grade 4 or above or equivalent). 
  • Qualified to degree level 
  • Applicants will be required to hold a full teaching qualification at Level 5 or above or be willing to work towards obtaining one.

If you do not hold a suitable teaching qualification, the College will support you to obtain this as part of our investment in your professional development.
