Leicester College is looking to appoint an enthusiastic Apprentice Skills Coach (formerly known as Trainer Assessor) with current Electrical experience. We would like somebody to join our team that has the passion and ability to impart their experience, skills, and knowledge to a caseload of Apprentices on Craft Apprenticeships.

The successful applicant will work as part of a team delivering high quality training and assessment to electrical apprentices. The primary duties include carrying out 8-10 weekly high quality tripartite reviews of apprentice's progress across the holistic programme supplying feedback in a way that motivates individuals and help apprentices overcome potential barriers to progression whilst supporting them to pass their Apprenticeship end point assessment. 

We are looking for a positive, proactive and solutions focused individual to help us drive the provision to support our journey to outstanding.  

Knowledge of the Apprenticeship Standards, E – portfolio system (Smart Assessor) and experience of working with apprentices would be beneficial along with excellent communication skills and a 'can do' approach to tasks. However, we will provide all the required training for those looking for a career change from carpentry and joinery related roles to education. 

Qualifications - You must have the following: 

Level 3 electrical qualification 

A minimum of Level 2 qualifications in maths and English or equivalent e.g. GCSE grade C or above, GCSE grade 4 or above.

Have relevant and current electrical experience 

Hold or be prepared to work towards an Assessor and Verification award, e.g., TAQA, A1 or V1.
