Learning Coach. ESOL. Part Time (29.6 hours per week). Term Time Only (40 weeks per year). Permanent.

As a Learning Coach, you will take responsibility for a caseload of students predominantly aged between 16 and 18 within the Curriculum Area of ESOL. The main purpose of the role is to support individuals to become independent learners through the development of their study and employability skills and provide the necessary help and support for them to progress to positive destinations. 

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, an ability to approach difficult issues in a calm and responsible manner and previous experience of coaching young people. You will be able to build effective working relationships with a diverse range of individual students, staff and guest speakers. 

You will hold a Level 3 vocational qualification or equivalent along with a Level 2 in English and maths (GCSE Grade C or above, GCSE Grade 4 or above or equivalent). The succesful candidate will have knowledge of relevant information, advice and guidance together with knowledge of Safeguarding policies relating to young people. It will be advantageous to have knowledge of English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL).
