About the Role

As a Learning Coach you will work closely with Programme Leaders to help support individuals to become independent learners through the development of their study and employability skills and provide the necessary help and support for them to progress to positive destinations.

We are looking to recruit someone who is committed to providing the highest quality service to both students and employers with the right attitude and skills to join a motivated, creative and well-resourced department.

Key responsibilities include:

The facilitation and presentation of a cross college Personal Development (PD) including behaviours and attitudes.

You will undertake group and 1:1 tutorials, setting and reviewing SMART targets, monitoring of student attendance and punctuality, and supporting students with enrichment opportunities.

You will have the ability to approach difficult issues in a calm and responsible manner and be able to build effective working relationships with a diverse range of individual learners.

Liaison with delivery/support staff, managers and parents is a key feature of this role including maintaining student records on college systems.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Learning Coach with a passion for supporting all learners, but most specifically those that require additional pastoral support to remain on programme.

You must hold the following qualifications:

Level 2 in maths and English (equivalent to GCSE Grade C or above, GCSE Grade 4 or above)

Level 3 vocational qualification or equivalent in a relevant subject.

Experience in the relevant sectors would be advantageous, as would knowledge of providing advice and guidance to young people.

For more details, please take a look at the role description. We'll still consider applications even if you don't meet every single one of the requirements, so don't be put off if you don't match them perfectly.
