Lecturer in Electrical Installation. Apprenticeship and Commercial. Full Time. Permanent.

Leicester College's Apprenticeship and Commercial Operations Department is one of the largest apprenticeship providers in the region with an ambitious vision for delivering gold standard apprenticeship and construction programmes that positively shape the future careers of all Leicester College learners.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Lecturer with a passion for Electrical Installation who can pass on their experience, knowledge, skills and attributes to our students to help support them to develop their own skills, knowledge and behaviours that will lead to achieving a qualification and a successful career.

As a Lecturer, you will deliver a variety of units across the Electrical Installation apprenticeship standard. This is a new addition to the impressive portfolio of courses offered by the college and you will have the opportunity to be an integral part of the team responsible for developing and enhancing this programme.

The successful applicant will be qualified to Level 3 in the relevant field and have a minimum Level 2 in English and maths (GCSE Grade C or above, GCSE Grade 4 or above, or equivalent). You will also hold a full teaching qualification e.g. Cert Ed, PGCE or be willing to work towards obtaining the qualification.

It would be beneficial to have the following (or be prepared to undertake the qualification on appointment):

•Assessor and Verification award, e.g. TAQA, A1 or V1

•18th Edition Wiring Regulations

•2391 Inspection and Testing qualification We are looking for a positive, proactive, solutions focused individual to help us drive the provision to support our journey to outstanding. Knowledge of the Apprenticeship Standards, E - portfolio’s (Smart Assessor) and experience of working with students would be beneficial along with excellent communication skills and a 'can do' approach to tasks.
