Lecturer in Electrical Installation. Construction. Full Time. Permanent.

An opportunity has arisen within our Construction Department for a highly motivated individual within the Electrical Installation sector. Applicants are invited from an Electrical Installation/Design background; ideally able to deliver subjects such as Electrical/Building Services Engineering Principles, Electrical Installation Theory & Practice and have an excellent working knowledge of the latest IET Wiring Regulations.

The successful applicant will join a high performing team and teach across a range of full time, part time, and full-cost commercial activity dependant on timetable requirements and experience/qualifications to students typically studying at level 1 to level 3.

Applicants should therefore hold a relevant level 3 qualification as a minimum requirement. Applicants from the Electrical trade who hold a NVQ will also be considered. You will also hold a Level 2 minimum in maths and English (GCSE Grade C or above, GCSE Grade 4 or above or equivalent). An ability to demonstrate appropriate IT skills will be required including working remotely to provide distance learning and support to cohorts of students as required.

Candidates will ideally hold or be willing to work towards a full teaching qualification. However, training and support is available for exceptional candidates yet to achieve qualified teacher status.

If this position is of interest and you share our passion to develop individuals and provide the highest quality learning experiences, we would welcome your application.

The employment package we offer includes 56 days annual leave (including bank holidays and concessionary days) and membership to the Teachers’ Pension Scheme (TPS).
