Leicester College is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Apprentice Skills Coach, formerly known as Trainer Assessor, with current industry experience in Motor Vehicle. We are looking for an individual who has the passion and ability to impart their experience, skills, and knowledge to a caseload of Motor Vehicle apprentices.

About Us: Leicester College's Apprenticeship and Commercial Operations Department is one of the largest apprenticeship providers in the region. We have an ambitious vision for delivering high-standard apprenticeship programs that positively shape the future careers of all Leicester College students.

Responsibilities:

Conduct 8-10 weekly high-quality tripartite reviews of apprentices' progress across the holistic program.

Provide constructive feedback that motivates apprentices and helps them overcome potential barriers to progression.

Support apprentices in successfully passing their Apprenticeship End Point Assessment.

Uphold the high standards of service expected by both students and local, regional, and national employers.

 Skills:

Current Motor Vehicle experience.

Knowledge of the Apprenticeship Standards and E-portfolio system (Smart Assessor) is beneficial.

Experience working with apprentices is advantageous.

Excellent communication skills and a positive, 'can do' approach to tasks.

A commitment to our vision and the willingness to support the delivery of high-quality service.

Training: We provide all required training for individuals looking to transition from engineering-related roles to education.

Qualifications:

You must hold a Level 3 Motor Vehicle qualification.

Have relevant and current motor vehicle experience.

Hold or be prepared to work towards an Assessor and Verification award, e.g., TAQA, A1 or V1. 

A minimum of Level 2 qualifications in maths and English or the equivalent e.g. GCSE grade C or above, GCSE grade 4 or above.
