Pathways Project Co-ordinator. Student Services. Part time (18.5 hours per week). Temporary until Sept 2021.

We are proud to be part of Uni Connect, a national government initiative that brings together 29 partnerships of universities, colleges and other local partners to offer activities, advice and information on the benefits and realities of going to university or college. Pathways is the partnership of higher education providers in Leicester City, Leicestershire and Rutland as part of the Office for Students Uni Connect programme. Working in partnership under the name Pathways, Universities and Further Education colleges work with schools and colleges to offer a number of activities and interventions in their local areas. We are one of the partner colleges and this exciting role is a key part of our team.

In this role, you will work closely with the Head of Student Engagement and Equality in the co-ordination, assurance, development and delivery of events to widen participation in Higher Education for under-represented groups. You will also liaise with the central Pathways team to contribute to meetings, systems and the wider project to ensure compliance and targeted activity. You will also work with a range internal teams to ensure engagement and impact with Pathways events.

The successful candidate will be educated to Degree Level or equivalent along with a Level 2 minimum in maths and English (GCSE Grade C or above, GCSE Grade 4 or above or equivalent). You will also have the skills and understanding around marketing, organising and supporting events, as well as a minimum Level 2 qualification in digital skills or the equivalent level of ability. It is also essential to have recent and relevant experience of successfully working in administration and/or a marketing setting.

It would be beneficial to have knowledge of safeguarding within the context of working with children and young people, be highly organised and be able to prioritise your work to ensure deadlines and service standards are met. Experience and knowledge of higher education would be desirable.
