This post attracts a Market Supplement of £5000 per annum.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Construction Department for new or experienced highly motivated Internal Trainer Assessor. Applicants are invited from a Building Services Engineering (BSE) Plumbing & Heating background ideally with experience of:

Installation and requirement of Plumbing and central heating systems

Knowledge and practical experience of fabrication including a range of copper, steel & plastic jointing techniques

Working in a team environment

Health & Safety in Construction 

In this role, you will deliver high-quality practical training and manage assessments in line with awarding body standards. You will work with a diverse range of learners, including full-time students, school provision groups, and adult evening classes as timetabled.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging, hands-on training sessions and ensure assessments meet regulatory and awarding organisation requirements.

Prepare and plan practical learning activities to maintain exceptional standards of teaching and assessment.

Maintain and manage workshop facilities, including commissioning and decommissioning assessment areas.

Carry out planned and reactive maintenance tasks to ensure a safe and effective learning environment.

Uphold Health & Safety responsibilities associated with the role.

Procure goods and services in line with departmental needs.

Applicants should ideally hold:

A relevant broad based Plumbing  & Heating (or Gas) level 3 qualification

Level 2 minimum qualification in maths and English (GCSE Grade C or above, GCSE Grade 4 or above or equivalent). 

Consideration will be given to applicants who hold a relevant Plumbing & Heating Level 2 qualification who can demonstrate appropriate up to date industrial experience and a desire to develop.
