An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Engineering Department for an experienced, highly motivated, and skilled Programme Area Manager.
We are seeking applicants who can ideally deliver a range of Engineering subjects with specialisms in either Motor Vehicle or Higher Education (HE) and Commercial programmes.
Applicants should have a background in an educational department and course management within Further Education or similar educational/training environment.
We are looking for an individual with strong digital skills and the ability to lead curriculum innovation, supported by a commitment to continuous quality improvement.
The successful applicant will manage programmes across a range of full-time, part-time and HE provision, levels 1 to 3, and levels 4 to 5.
The Programme Area Manager (PAM) role will include working closely with the Director of Curriculum, the GCSE Maths and English PAMs and other PAM's across the College as well as the wider department teaching team.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing, planning, and monitoring programmes to maximise resources, funding, and learner outcomes.
Driving growth across all programme areas.
Ensuring learner progress is tracked and maintained using College IT systems.
Maintaining and improving retention and achievement levels in line with college targets.
Developing and implementing systems and processes to support the effective management of learning.
Candidates should be able to demonstrate a track record of managing and delivering high quality teaching and learning within the FE sector (or equivalent), along with experience of developing course provision.
Knowledge and experience of IV processes are essential, together with the ability to appraise courses using a range of quality and performance indicators.

Essential Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree level (Level 6 qualification or equivalent) in the relevant subject
A full teaching qualification at level 5 or above or the equivalent e.g. PGCE
Level 2 in English and maths (GCSE Grade C or above, GCSE Grade 4 or above, or equivalent)
