The EYP programme area offers a range of courses designed to develop learners' English language skills, support progression into further education, employment and training, and promote successful integration into the local community.

Responsibilities include the direct line management of delivery staff including Programme Leads, Lecturers and Learning Coaches, leading on curriculum planning, timetabling, safeguarding, health and safety, and the implementation of quality assurance processes within the programme area. As an integral member of the management team, you will ensure all learners receive an outstanding learning experience that supports their individual goals and aspirations.

The role requires effective liaison with a range of internal and external stakeholders, including local authorities, community organisations, employers and awarding bodies, to develop partnerships that enhance learner outcomes.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to improving learning, teaching and assessment, together with a proven track record of effective performance management, quality improvement and curriculum development. You will have excellent leadership, team-building and communication skills, enabling you to drive innovation and continuous improvement across the programme area.

Substantial knowledge of the ESOL sector, including current curriculum developments, funding requirements, quality assurance processes and learner progression pathways, is essential. You will have the ability to plan and develop an inclusive, responsive curriculum that meets the needs of learners and local employers.

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent, hold a recognised teaching qualification, and have extensive experience of leading or delivering ESOL provision. A sound understanding of quality assurance, performance management and data management is essential, together with the ability to use data to inform decision-making and improve learner outcomes.
