Programme Lead in Building Services Engineering (Plumbing, Heating & Gas). Construction. Full Time. 37 Hours Per Week. Permanent.
Salary: £39,235 - £42,552 per annum
An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Construction Department for a new or experienced initiative-taking Programme Lead. Applicants are invited from a Building Services Engineering (BSE) Plumbing, Heating & Gas background ideally able to deliver a selection of core subjects such as:
- BSE Domestic Hot & cold water installations including complex systems
- BSE Domestic Central heating installations including complex systems
- BSE Drainage and sanitation including complex systems
- BSE Domestic core Gas safety
- BSE Domestic environmental and sustainable technologies
A broad-based knowledge of the wider Construction sector would also be advantageous.
The successful applicant will teach across a range of full time and part time programmes to students typically studying from Level 1 to Level 3 including Construction T-Level core and specialist content based on prior industrial/teaching experience.
Applicants should have the following:
- BSE Plumbing, Heating or Gas Level 3 qualification or equivalent and/or be able to demonstrate significant industrial experience in the BSE field.
- Level 2 in maths and English (GCSE Grade C/4 or above, or equivalent) as a minimum.
- Hold or be working towards a full teaching qualification
- Ideally qualified to level 3 in their specialism and have a record of accomplishment of delivering high quality teaching and learning.
- Experience of leading course provision and coordinating Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) are essential together with the ability to appraise courses using a range of quality and performance indicators.
The Programme Lead role will include working closely with the Programme Area Manager to monitor students, courses and course data along with planning programmes to maximise resource and funding. Ensuring students’ progress is tracked and maintained on College IT systems, and retention and achievement levels are maintained and improved upon are important features of the Programme Lead's responsibilities, as well as the development and implementation of systems/processes and other improvements to support the management of learning.
