Are you ready to take the next step in your career and lead the way in shaping the future of Building Services Engineering education? We have an exciting opportunity for a proactive and passionate Programme Lead lecturer to join our dynamic Construction Department.
We are seeking an individual from a Plumbing, Heating & Gas (BSE) background who can inspire and deliver high-quality teaching across a range of subjects, ideally including:
- ACS & Core gas safety
- Domestic hot and cold water installations (including complex systems)
- Domestic central heating installations (including complex systems)
- Drainage and sanitation systems
- Environmental and sustainable technologies
A broad understanding of the wider Construction sector would be advantageous.
As Programme Lead, you will take the lead on theACS Gas Foundation programme plus teach across the full-time and part-time programmes from Level 1 to Level 3, including Level 2 Diploma, Construction BSE T-Level core and specialist content drawing on your industry expertise and teaching experience.
What we are looking for:
- A relevant Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in Plumbing, Heating or Gas including Core Gas Safety plus associated modules, and significant industry experience in BSE
- Minimum Level 2 in English and Maths (GCSE Grade C/4 or equivalent)
- Ideally, a full teaching qualification (or working towards one)
- Proven ability to deliver outstanding teaching and learning
- Experience in leading course provision and coordinating Internal Quality Assurance (IQA)
- Strong organisational skills and ability to monitor performance using quality indicator
Key responsibilities:
Work closely with the Programme Area Manager to plan and manage programmes effectively
Track student progress and maintain accurate records on college systems
Drive improvements in retention and achievement rates
Develop and implement processes to support high-quality learning experiences
