Internal Trainer Assessor (Brick/Multi Skilled). Construction. Full Time. Permanent.

An opportunity has arisen at Leicester College to appoint a Brick/Multi skilled Internal Trainer Assessor in the curriculum area of Construction. The post holder will have a core Brick background and will deliver and conduct training and assessment in College to provide students with a wide range of skills and knowledge relevant to their main programme of study. The successful applicant will work as part of a team to ensure success for students. The responsibilities of the role include delivering practical training and managing assessments primarily in the Brick area and across the wider curriculum area as per demand aligned to individual skill base in-line with awarding organisation guidelines. The students you will be responsible for will be drawn from full time, school provision, apprentice and adult evening groups. The successful candidate will be required to undertake preparation as required in order to ensure the delivery of high quality practical learning and assessments to all individuals.

Applicants should ideally hold a relevant Brick Level 3 qualification although consideration will be given to applicants who hold a relevant Brick Level 2 qualification who can demonstrate appropriate industrial experience and a desire to develop. Previous experience of working in a training environment, working with young people or in possession of an Assessing qualification is desirable but not essential as support is available for someone who can demonstrate commitment to developing.

Other duties will include; undertaking planned and reactive maintenance including commissioning and de-commissioning of assessment areas as well as Health and Safety responsibilities commensurate with the post, and procurement of goods and services in-line with the area’s requirements.

The role requires someone who can work flexibly and effectively as part of a team to deliver high quality learning experiences.
