Sorry, we are currently not recruiting for any vacancies
We would love you to join our Talent Pool so we can contact you when the right vacancy arises.
The school leadership team comprises of Mrs Louisa Phillips, our Head of School, who works alongside Mr Turull who is our Executive Headteacher. We are lucky to have a very strong and committed team of teachers and support staff working across the preschool and school.
In November 2018 our school became an academy as part of the Midsomer Norton Schools' Partnership. This has opened up a significant amount of opportunities for the pupils at our school.
The school has recently undergone two significant change bids with the Department for Education which means that we are now a primary school and also offer 2-11 provision, with a preschool on site.
Ethos and Values
At Leigh on Mendip, our school ethos is to provide the school community with a safe, challenging and creative environment in which we nurture and respect all of our children.
We have come up with the vision of 'Nurturing curious minds' which reflects not only what we aim to do, but what the children at our school are like.
We are a happy, family school in which we encourage all members of the school to have caring and considerate attitudes towards one another; this strong community spirit is fostered by everyone involved in the school. The school enjoys an excellent reputation for providing broad and balanced learning opportunities, made possible by our highly committed team of teachers, governors and support staff.
The Midsomer Norton Schools' Partnership was founded in 2009 following the hard federation between Norton Hill and Somervale Secondary Schools. Since this point the Trust has grown to include other secondary schools and a large number of primary schools, which are all located in the Southwest of England: Bath and North East Somerset, Somerset and North Somerset. The full list of schools that are members of the Trust are shown above.
Midsomer Norton Schools' Partnership provides support and challenge to all of our schools so that our entire community of children and young people can achieve their best. The unique character of each school is celebrated and nurtured to ensure choice and variety in educational provision. The Trust is committed to providing a broad, balanced and aspirational curriculum in all of its schools, so that all children and young people develop the character and qualifications needed to open doors to their future success. A strong focus on developing and providing inspirational teaching and leadership in all schools, through school-to-school improvement, ensures outstanding progress and educational enjoyment for all members of our partnership’s community.
