Fairfield High School is seeking to appoint a committed, enthusiastic inspirational Achievement Coordinator (Head of Year). This is an excellent opportunity for career progression.
You will be overseeing the needs of a full year group including driving attendance, pastoral support, safeguarding and behaviour. You will also be a named Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead. You will join an established team of Achievement Coordinators who will be supported by a pastoral leader in providing care for students in your year group.
The successful candidate will have good leadership potential and be able to demonstrate high professional standards. You will work closely with SLT, support staff and outside agencies and be instrumental in monitoring standards across the year group.
This is a Support Staff post, working full time of 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term time only plus 20 days. Salary is based on pay NJC points 31 - 33, full time equivalent of £40,476 - £42,708. Actual salary for term time plus 10 days is £35,707 to £37,676 per annum. Hours will be Mondays to Thursdays 8.15am – 4.15pm, Fridays 8.30am – 4.00pm (inclusive of a 30 minute unpaid lunch break).
We are looking for someone who has worked in a similar role working with young people in schools, supporting vulnerable students and their families and has strong inter-personal skills and has excellent pastoral care.
