Teaching Assistant
Hours of work - 30 hrs / week Monday - Friday 8.45 - 3.15 (part time applications will be considered)
Term time only plus inset days (39 weeks per year)
Fixed Term – Until August 2026
Salary; SCP 5-6
Start date: 5th January 2026 / ASAP
Nythe Primary School is looking to appoint 2 outstanding KS2 teaching assistants who are resourceful, enthusiastic and self-motivated. We would like someone with a tolerant and compassionate nature, a sense of humour and the ability to work both on their own and as part of our supportive team.
Our ideal candidate would be:
- An outstanding KS2 teaching assistant with experience of supporting children with special educational needs.
- Fully committed to inclusion.
- Friendly, positive, flexible and energetic.
Someone with high expectations.
- A team player.
- Able to complete observations and assessments, and support with record keeping.
- Able to run interventions with instruction from the class teacher
- Good numeracy/literacy skills to GCSE grade 4 level or above.
