Job Title: Cover Supervisor - In Class Support
Actual Annual Salary: £25,513 - £27,833 (CLF Grade D Based on hours worked)
Full Time Equivalent Salary: £31,954 – £34,860 (CLF Grade D) Based on 37 hours per week, all year round
Contract Type: Fixed-Term until 30 August 2027
Hours: Part-time, 34.5 hours per week, Term Time Only plus insets
Additional Information: Monday - Thursday 8am - 3:30pm, Friday 8am - 3pm
Provisional Start Date: 3 September 2026
We are seeking a Cover Supervisor who is confident and comfortable in covering subject lessons at Key Stage 5.
When not covering lessons you will provide extra capacity for our Inclusion and Intervention team, helping to support students in lessons, small group work, 1:1 support etc. During high periods of associate staff absence you may also be required to cover in other areas for example the student welcome desk.

About you:
You will have:
- have an understanding of learning processes, barriers to learning and behaviour management strategies to facilitate the delivery of learning activities effectively.
- knowledge and understanding of classroom roles and responsibilities and own position within these.
- experience of working with children and young people.
- the ability to assimilate information to facilitate the delivery of lesson plans effectively.
- a basic knowledge and understanding of the curriculum.
- excellent standard of oral and written communication skills and ability to understand and convey information effectively.
- good organisational and efficient administration skills.
- the skills to build effective working relationships with teachers and other academy staff.
- good literacy and numeracy competency with a minimum of 5 GCSEs (including Maths and English at grade C/4 or above), or other equivalent qualifications.

About CLF Post 16:
The CLF Post 16 Academy is situated in South Gloucestershire, hosted at John Cabot Academy, and serves the students of Bristol across two local authorities. We are a centre of education for ages 16-19 offering a range of level 1, 2 and 3 vocational courses and a full breadth of A Level qualifications.
