Expectations and Values

  • Act as an ambassador for the school by supporting our values and expectations of learning.

Participation in extra-curricular activities is voluntary but all staff members are encouraged to participate lead and promote activities to build good relationships with young people and broaden their informal learning opportunities.

All staff are expected to be familiar with and adhere to all academy policies and, in particular, meet key requirements in relation to health and safety and teaching and learning

This job description sets out the duties and responsibilities of the post at the time when it was drawn up. Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Designated safeguarding lead
  • Focus on the welling and progress of specific year groups
  • Challenging behaviour of students that do not meet the Beauchamp expectations and co-ordinating suitable interventions
  • Reflection Zone
  • Detention duties
  • Small group work
  • Interventions to improve attendance and behaviour
  • Responding to ‘On calls’ and resolving incidents
  • Support and administration around maintaining students’ files
  • Pro-active and positive Parent and career engagement.
  • Oversee ‘Pupils Missing in Education’ data to local authority.
  • Covering over other progress and Performance Officer duties and Associate Head of Year duties where necessary
  • Visible presence around college during lesson time.
  • Practically and effectively contribute to the efficient and effective running of the Student Service Centre and the college as a whole.
