Cleaner – Maternity Cover
Start Date: TBC
Actual hours: Monday to Friday 3:00 - 6:15 daily (16.25 hours per week)
Term time only + 2 weeks (40 weeks - to include 1 week of deep clean in August 26 (6.5 hours for each of 5 days)
Hours: 16.25 hours per week ,5 days at 3.25 hours per day Mon-Fri, start 3:15pm - finish 6:30pm
Salary: Grade 2 (Actual Salary £9,413.40)

Riverside Primary School wishes to employ an enthusiastic and reliable cleaner to join our friendly team of dedicated cleaning staff
The successful candidate will be required to ensure that a high level of cleanliness is maintained throughout the School on a daily basis, ensuring health and safety compliance is adhered to in all cleaning routines.

Strong relationships between staff and pupils
Purpose of Job:
To carry out cleaning duties as required, including sweeping, dusting, wall washing, toilet cleaning, mopping and vacuum cleaning
Use electrical and mechanical equipment, floor polishers, etc.… when necessary and after appropriate training
Use stepladders when necessary and with due regard to the Health and Safety of themselves and others
Use approved cleaning materials in accordance with manufacturers printed instructions and COSHH Regulations. (Chemicals should NEVER be mixed with other chemicals)
To be responsible for the care of all cleaning equipment and materials assigned to them
Where practicable, ensure windows and doors are closed and locked when leaving rooms
Report to the Premises Officer any defects seen, likely to affect security i.e. broken windows, window catches
To be aware of their responsibilities for the Health and Safety of themselves and others
Wear protective clothing provided, additionally shoes which are suitable for the work being carried out
To clean the site to a high standard
Any other relevant duties as may be required
