Required for Easter or September 2022, the Littlehampton Academy is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and inspiring DT specialist to our successful Sport and Technology Faculty. The successful candidate will be motivated, creative and resilient, possessing both the skills to deliver high quality teaching and learning and the drive to ensure successful outcomes are reached. The ability to teach Art at key stage 3 would be an advantage.
DT is very popular with our students, so there is a demand for extra-curricular opportunities. Recent competition successes include winning the National “Bloodhound” Rocket Car Contest. Our DT facilities are second to none and include a dedicated CAD/CAM room and two workshops.
This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified teacher or a more experienced colleague to join us. The Littlehampton Academy is a large academy with a core ethos that supports the development of both staff and students. We are determined to improve student performance in all areas. You will have opportunities to make significant contributions to our progress.
Students at TLA are proud of their school and loyal to their teachers. Colleagues are welcoming and highly supportive and we provide an extensive CPD programme offering development opportunities at all career stages. All our teaching colleagues also contribute to the welfare of our students as group tutors.
Our on-site facilities are state-of-the-art, including secure and ample parking for staff, and we are also close to good transport links.
Closing Date: 9 February 2022 @ midday
Early applications are encouraged. We reserve the right to close the vacancy before the closing date so please apply early.
The Littlehampton Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
