Required for September 2022:
As a result of the successful promotion of the previous post-holders, The Littlehampton Academy is looking to appoint two effective leaders to our Senior Leadership Team.
The Vice Principal - Curriculum, Teaching and Learning (CTL) is responsible for developing consistently good teaching and learning throughout the academy.
The role of the Vice Principal - Achievement, Standards and Inclusion (ASI) is focused on embedding effective learning behaviours, removing barriers to achievement and ensuring a culture of inclusion, accountability and success throughout the academy.
We are looking for candidates with an outstanding track record in educational leadership with demonstrable success. You must be a strategic and analytical thinker, with the personal authority and communication skills to make a difference. You will be committed to developing strong working relationships with colleagues at all levels, recognising that progress is only possible when the whole team is focused on the same goal.
As a member of a leadership team that includes seven Assistant Principals, you will continue to develop the culture of high expectations and improved academic standards. You will be passionate about collaborating with our stakeholders, committed to CPD and adept at giving students and staff the skills and confidence to succeed.
Above all, you should share our belief that raising aspirations, combined with meaningful colleague development, is critical to achieving success.
TLA is a large Christian-designated academy, proud to be part of the Woodard Academies Trust. We aim to provide a rich and diverse educational environment that welcomes people of all faiths and none, and where every child is 'known and nurtured'.
At TLA, you will find committed colleagues who are working hard to improve the educational experiences of our young people. They are prepared to go the extra mile to ensure that lessons are relevant, purposeful, engaging and rewarding. They are determined to achieve the best for our students.
TLA benefits from excellent facilities, both indoor and out, on our modern campus on the south coast of West Sussex. We are located close to a mainline station with good road networks along the south coast and towards London. Quality beaches, proximity to the South Downs and commutability to key destinations makes this a great place to live.
These posts are full-time, with a competitive salary on the leadership range (L20-L24).
Closing date: Monday 14 February 2022
Interview date: 1 and 2 March 2022
