Welcome from the Principal

Little London Academy, in the centre of Leeds, is a school which is immensely proud of its history. Serving a vibrant, diverse and ambitious community, we work in partnership with every family to ensure we offer the very best life chances for every child.

As part of the Gorse Academies Trust, we can offer our pupils a range of amazing opportunities through visits and visitors, an array of enrichment activities, and the chance to access a world class education from the age of 3 through to 19.

We firmly believe that every child has the right to an amazing education, from when they start with us in our Nursery (planned to welcome our first children in September 2024) through to when they move up to secondary and the chance of a place at an outstanding GORSE secondary school.

Our school facilities are modern and advanced, with safe and amazing outdoor spaces, brand new technology and the offer of a Chromebook laptop for every child from Year 1 onwards. We want to help every child to access learning in school and in the home setting.

We pride ourselves on a high standard of education for all pupils, the highest expectations for positive behaviour, and an ethos of respect and understanding for one another.

Whatever the needs, and the individual skills and creative talents of your child, we commit every day to help them to shine, to have fun and to enjoy success. With every success, we help children to believe in themselves, and we offer them the gift of choice for an amazing future.

OUR TRUST

About The Gorse Academies Trust

trust_logo.png

GORSE has a well-known reputation for changing the deal for children and young adults who come from some of the most impoverished parts of the country. Our central mission is to ensure that we play a significant role in removing the stubborn link between poverty and academic underperformance. Consequently, our students and our professionals are in the vanguard of the national drive which seeks to prove that where teaching is excellent, leadership inspiring and behaviour standards exemplary all children excel regardless of background.

Because of the trust’s reputation, we are also seeing the development of a new approach to academisation which is bringing already strong and successful schools forward to convert as new partners within GORSE. Those schools recognise the enormous advantage that comes from belonging to a network of excellence in both leadership and teaching, and we as a trust recognise that there is much to be gained when great organisations are brought together.
