The Art and Design department at Llantwit Major School is looking for an enthusiastic and committed teacher of Art and Design for maternity cover. They will be expected to deliver stimulating and challenging lessons to learners across Key Stage 3, 4 and post 16. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a high level of learning and teaching to support learners to be successful at KS3, GCSE and A Level.

We are a multi-disciplinary department that delivers a number of different meaningful learning experiences, across key stages, including drawing, painting, printmaking, photography (including digital editing) and 3D design. As a result, the position demands good subject knowledge to maintain and build on standards of success. The successful applicant will, have the opportunity to work as part of a welcoming team to further develop as a practitioner and also share knowledge and skills with students and staff alike. As a school we offer a comprehensive induction and CPD programme for all levels of staff including newly qualified teachers.
