WE ARE LOOKING FOR TWO SCIENCE TEACHERS WITH A PASSION FOR HELPING LEARNERS SUCCEED

We are seeking two qualified and enthusiastic Teachers of Science to join our Science and Technology Area of Learning Experience team on a full time and permanent basis.

The post would be equally suitable for NQTs and teachers with more experience.

The science department at Llanwern High School prides itself on nurturing curious minds and fostering a deep understanding of the sciences including a specific astronomy GCSE for our pupils. With a track record of excellent GCSE results that have improved year after year, our dynamic team, including a supportive technician, ensures that every pupil receives personalised attention and access to state-of-the-art equipment, resources and practical activities.

For those eager to pursue their passion for science further, we offer A levels alongside vocational courses at post 16 which offer a practical, hands-on approach for those interested in real-world applications of scientific principles. We are also adding Medical Science into our suite of post 16 qualifications for September 2024.

The successful candidates will be strong classroom teachers who are passionate about science and hence able to enthuse, engage and motivate pupils. They will be committed to high expectations and standard of work and be creative, inventive team players within the Science and Technology Area of Learning Experience and the wider school.
