We are looking for a dedicated and skilled teacher to work in our undesignated SEN Unit for three mornings per week (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday).

The unit provides an adaptive and highly personalised education for Key Stage 2 pupils with significant cognition and learning needs who are working well below age-related expectations. We are seeking a teacher who is passionate about ensuring every child succeeds and who can create engaging learning experiences tailored to individual needs.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, teaching and assessing learning within the unit, using the Assessment for All framework to track progress and inform next steps. They will also lead and support a team of three teaching assistants, ensuring a consistent and collaborative approach to meeting pupils' needs.

We are looking for someone who:

· Is a qualified teacher with experience of, or a strong interest in, SEND.

· Has a good understanding of cognition and learning needs.

· Can plan and deliver engaging, adaptive lessons that meet a wide range of abilities.

· Is confident in assessing, tracking and monitoring pupil progress using Assessment for All.

· Has the skills to lead, motivate and support a team of teaching assistants.

· Builds positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.

· Maintains high expectations whilst recognising and celebrating individual achievement.

· Is committed to inclusive practice and ensuring the best possible outcomes for every child.

· Can work closely with our SENDco in providing a bespoke learning offer to the children.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a significant difference to the lives of children with additional needs, working alongside a supportive and dedicated team to help every pupil achieve success.

Please note, although these roles are advertised separately we would consider the same person doing both positions.
