Teaching Assistant

Term time only, 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday - Hours of working 8.45am – 3.15pm with a 30min unpaid lunch break.

The senior leadership team and governors at Loatlands Primary School are looking to recruit an inspirational teaching assistant to join our happy and committed team.

Loatlands Primary School is a two-form entry Primary school with a Nursery that serves a diverse community in the town of Desborough. We are proud to offer an exceptional learning environment that focuses on the whole child which includes Forest School for all ages and OPAL Play. Our bespoke curriculum provides our children with a broad range of learning opportunities, including wider experiences designed to foster life-long learning.

We were graded as ‘Good’ in our latest Ofsted inspection, March 2022. 

We are looking for an excellent Teaching Assistant to offer in-class support.

The successful candidates will need to have:

• GCSE’s in English and Maths grade C or equivalent

• High expectations of what children can achieve

• Experience of working/volunteering with children in the primary range

• Flexibility and creativity

• A positive approach and passion for engaging children in learning

• An ability to develop good relationships with children, colleagues and parents.

We are a friendly, supportive, forward-thinking school with a strong ethos for outdoor learning through Forest School and Opal play. We will provide the successful candidate with support and access to high-quality professional development opportunities.

Visits to the school are very warmly welcomed and can be arranged.
