The NFL Academy is a major international initiative from the NFL, which aims to use American Football to create life-changing opportunities for young people. The NFL Academy offers student athletes aged 16-19 the opportunity to combine their education with a character development programme and an intensive training in the sport, under the guidance of full-time professional coaches and performance staff. Loughborough College partners with Loughborough University and the NFL to deliver in the NFL Academy creating a unique pathway and opportunities to excel both on and off the field.
We are seeking a Quality Control Coach to provide a high-quality support to the player development programme, working alongside the Offensive or Defensive Coordinators and other academy staff. This role will include working with coaches, the Director of Operations, the Education Programme Manager and other support staff and will include working with players for a range of on and off-field activity. The role also includes preparing for, and attending, a range of fixtures, both in the UK and overseas and will include but not be limited to:
- Assisting coaches/coaching
- Player squad leader
- Report writing
- Field Management
- Equipment Management
- Cutting Film
- Social Media
- Scouting
- Recruiting
- Game logistics assistance
- Administration
The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal and communication skills and work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience of working in or playing American Football and will hold a Level 1 USA Football Youth Tackle Certificate and a Level 1 Safeguarding Certificate. The role will require flexible working patterns, with some evening/weekend work.
