High Down Junior School in Portishead have three fixed term vacancies for LSAs to work 1:1.
Due to the complexity of the pupils’ needs full training will be provided. Two of the posts will support children with hearing and visual impairments and the other post will be to support a child who has moderate learning difficulties.
Post 1:
Supporting a pupil currently in Year 5 for 26 hours per week (Monday to Friday morning and afternoon).
Post 2:
Supporting a pupil currently in Year 3 for 16 hours per week (Monday to Friday morning).
Post 3:
Supporting a pupil currently in Year 5 for 20 hours per week (Monday to Friday mornings and two afternoons).
The contracts will start as soon as possible and the term of each is fixed until 31st August 2022 or the withdrawal of the pupil's funding if earlier.
The posts are graded at JG3 - £19.312 - £19,698 per annum full time equivalent, (hourly rate £10.01 - £10.21). Actual salary for post 1 is £11,763 - £11,998. Actual salary for post 2 is £7239 - £7384. Actual salary for post 3 is £9049 - £9230.
The ability to work as part of a team under the direction of the class teacher is essential, however we are also looking for somebody who is able to use his/her initiative to fully support the integration of the child and work through any programmes of support as indicated on the pupil’s IEP.
The successful candidates will also be offered an SMSA post if they would like to take on additional hours at lunchtime.
