Learning Support Assistant

Salary: JG3

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:45 to 3:30 with opportunity for some movement in these times.

Contract Type: Permanent or until child leaves school.

  • Are you an inspiring LSA, capable of getting the very best from a child?
  • Are you patient and resilient, with a ‘firm but fair’ approach?

Then we need you!

We are seeking a very special individual to work on a 1 to 1 basis with a child or children in our school. This unique person would benefit from a current understanding of the Thrive approach, or at least be willing to train at our school in this area.

An ability to help a child or children work towards SMART targets that are both achievable and realistic would be an advantage, alongside the understanding that ‘an inch’ of progress for one child is ‘a mile’ to another.

No experience of the role is necessary, as we can train you in this! Above all we are looking for a professional who is kind, caring and can encourage children no matter what the barriers.

If you consider yourself a person who can truly make a difference to the life of a child, then we consider you a superhuman! Use your powers to complete the attached form!

We need you as soon as you are available. The contract is Monday to Friday 8:45-3:30, term time only. The contract is permanent, and is attached to a child or children, who are highly likely to be with us for at least 3 academic years. Further employment will also be available after this time period.

Please contact the school if you have any queries regarding this position.

Closing date is Friday 23rd April at 11:59am

Interviews on Monday 26th April in the morning (No interview preparation will be necessary).

Please wear a mask when entering the school and ensure you have the NHS app on your phone. Thank you.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We follow safer recruitment practices and appointments are subject to an enhanced DBS check.
