Hours: 16.5 hours per week over 3 or 4 days (negotiable)
Contract: Permanent, Term time only plus 2 inset days

St Mary’s Church of England Primary School wishes to appoint an efficient, motivated and professional School Business Manager to work at our happy and friendly school. We have high expectation of all of our staff and children and collectively strive to ‘support and challenge each other to be the best we can be.’
Perhaps, above all, we need someone who can champion our four values: Compassion, Curiosity, Community and Courage.
Working alongside the Head Teacher, wider Leadership Team and Academy Trust Central Team, the role will involve the leading and management of the business and administration function in the school. The successful candidate will be required to organise, manage and lead on all aspects of school finances, personnel, facilities, administration, estate and contract management. The individual will line manage the staff within the School Office, caretaker and cleaning staff.
Candidates should have a strong knowledge of School Business Management and ideally hold the Certificate of School Business Management or, if not, be willing to undertake this. An Accountancy qualification and experience of Project Management would be beneficial.
As the days/hours are flexible, this is an ideal job for a SBM returning to work or with commitments outside of school hours.
If you are interested in the above post then please call the school for an informal chat with Sophie Westerwijk, Head Teacher, before submitting your application. For further details about this role please refer to the job description and person specification attached.
We would love to hear from you and show you around our brilliant school, so please do call the school office to make an appointment. Due to the current Covid restrictions, this will need to be out of school hours.
Closing date: Monday 26 April 2021
Interview Date: Tuesday 4 May 2021 (possibly remotely)
