Vacancy for LSA
Hours: 31.25 hours per week (Monday-Friday 8.45am–3.30pm with a half hour lunch break). Term time only plus 5 INSET days
Contract: Fixed term – commencing as soon as possible until 31/08/25 (pending a staffing review)
Salary: JG3 or JG4 (depending on experience and qualifications) £24,790 – £27,269 (£18,390 - £20,229)
The Role
We are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Learning Support Assistant to join our support staff team to work in Year 2 to support the class and some provide some 1:1 support for a pupil with ASD traits.
Specific requirements of the posts include:
• Forming positive relationships with pupils and colleagues
• Excellent spoken communication skills
• Delivering classroom support for pupils planned with and supervised by teachers
• Supervise morning break and lunch times
About you
We are looking for a confident, caring person who can demonstrate passion for supporting pupils and recent school-based experience to join our hard-working and supportive school team. Experience of supporting children who have additional learning needs is desirable. The ability to work as part of a team under the direction of class teachers is essential; however, we are also looking for someone who is able to use their initiative to fully support childrens’ learning, work and behaviour. This will include ensuring that appropriate learning resources and materials are available and ready to use. The position will involve supervising pupils at lunch time.
