Upper KS2 Class Teacher (Fixed Term Contract)

The Governors are seeking to appoint an excellent class teacher to be part of our team ensuring excellence in the learning of children at St Peter’s. This role is fixed term in the first instance, pending a review of staffing for September 2025. We are seeking to recruit a teacher with the experience, knowledge and passion to teach in upper KS2 and the successful candidate will either be joining our year 5 or year 6 team.
St Peter’s is a 630 place primary with beautiful, well-resourced buildings set in lovely green surroundings. It is a welcoming inclusive school with a strong Christian ethos and was judged to be ‘Excellent’ in the last SIAMs (church school) inspection in February 2020 and ‘Outstanding’ in our last Ofsted inspection in February 2023. We are a member of the Lighthouse Schools’ Partnership and one of 34 National English Hubs. We have a clear pedagogy, exciting curriculum, and high expectations of all members of our school community. We seek to ensure that teaching and learning is of the highest quality and offer CPD to all staff to support their growth and development as excellent practitioners. • Able to build strong and positive relationships with colleagues, children and parents
• Strong in pupil management skills and committed to delivering our behaviour curriculum in line with our policy
• Reflective practitioners with a strong desire to learn and improve
