Welcome

A message from our Headteacher

Welcome to Luckwell Primary School

I am proud to be Headteacher here at Luckwell.

I joined the school in 2018 as a Year 6 teacher after working in New Zealand for nine years and I have loved getting to know all the Luckwell families. It is such a privilege to work in this happy and caring environment and I am thrilled to have been given the chance to take the school forward into the 2020s.

Luckwell is a thriving school at the heart of its community. We always put the children first. We are lucky enough to have wonderful children who love to learn and dedicated, caring adults who love to help them do so.

Our staff, children, governors and families pull together to help each other through tough times and good times. As a small school on a single site, we know all our children extremely well and are able to support each one of them as an individual.

We follow an enquiry-led curriculum and achieve very successful outcomes. Our pupils get the chance to experience a wide range of activities: sport, dance, choral speaking, to name just a few. We have fantastic facilities on our site, including our own forest school provision, - and let’s not forget Monty, our fabulous school dog.

Lilly Byers,

Headteacher
