Lydiard Park Academy is seeking an exceptional and motivated Teaching Assistant to join a Trust which truly values its staff and provides a highly supportive environment. The post holder will work as part of a team to promote the educational, social, physical and emotional development of pupils within the Autism Support Centre (ASC) Centre.
The post holder will work with all pupils in the SRP to support them in school and act as a lead TA for a nominated pupil, having particular responsibility for his/her welfare. Regular liaison with parents, teachers and fellow TAs is an important part of the job.

Salary: £25,600 gross per annum (pro rata)- £17,278 gross per annum (actual)

Role reports to: Assistant Principal (SEND)/ Head of ASC Centre
The Role: This role is a pivotal one in the academy’s future journey, as our newly appointed Teaching Assistant will help to continue to build upon the successes of our Trust. The successful candidate will form part of the support team and will work closely with the Assistant Principal (SEND), other senior leaders and all staff across the school.
It cannot be stressed enough that this post involves work which can be of a highly confidential nature. It is essential that no school business is discussed outside the classroom. It is expected that the post holder will have undertaken relevant training or have compensatory employment experience. It is desirable that he/she has a full understanding of the needs of pupils with ASC, and how to meet those needs.
