Examinations/Assessment Officer (Lv1) | Madani Schools Federation
Madani Schools Federation is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, highly organised, and efficient Examinations/ Assessment Officer to join our dedicated team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the administration of all examinations, ensuring that every stage of the examination process is planned and delivered efficiently, securely, and in accordance with the regulations of the relevant awarding bodies. This includes overseeing examination entries, coordinating examination timetables, organising invigilation arrangements, maintaining accurate records, and managing the secure receipt and distribution of examination materials and results.
This role requires exceptional organisational skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines, and a meticulous approach to detail. The successful candidate will be confident using IT systems and databases and will demonstrate high levels of accuracy in all aspects of their work. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as the role involves working closely with examination boards, students, parents, teaching staff, senior leaders, and invigilators to ensure the smooth running of all examinations.
The successful candidate will have a sound understanding of examination procedures and regulations, ideally including experience of working within JCQ and awarding body requirements. Experience of examination management systems would be advantageous.
The role will also support the administration of the Federation's assessment systems, including the collection, validation, analysis and reporting of student attainment and progress data to support school improvement and maximise student achievement. Our most recent inspections for both, Madani Girls and Madani Boys School were graded as ‘Good’, with many exemplary and outstanding elements.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the integrity and smooth operation of all internal and external examinations and assessments across the Federation. They will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, discretion when handling confidential information, and a commitment to ensuring that all examination processes are conducted in full compliance with JCQ and awarding body regulations. Through their work, they will help ensure that every student is given the best opportunity to demonstrate their achievements and realise their potential.
Key responsibilities
• Administration of GCSE, Functional skills and other qualification entries.
• Liaison with awarding bodies (AQA, Pearson Edexcel, OCR, WJEC, etc.).
• Management of access arrangements and reasonable adjustments in conjunction with the SENCO.
• Processing special consideration applications.
• Ensuring compliance with JCQ and awarding body regulations.
• Recruitment, training and deployment of invigilators.
• Preparation and secure storage of examination materials.
• Collection, analysis and reporting of assessment and examination data.
• Administration of mock examinations and internal assessment cycles.
• Management of post-results services, including reviews of marking and appeals.
