Perm 37 Hours per week Term Time Only

Full Time Equivalent Salary – Grade 5 Points 11-14 £25,979 - £27,334

We are looking for a Librarian Archivist to join our talented and supportive team at Marling School. Hours – 8:30 – 16:30 Monday - Friday

Start Date – 8th January 2024

Actual Salary – £21,628 - £22,756 pro rata


The Librarian Archivist will be key in the development, use and integration of the library within the curriculum of the school.

Both directly and through a small team, the role will require:

• The provision of a full range of library resources in support of the education development of staff and students, and administrative and organisational support.

• The management and support of individual and small groups of students, in line with the school behaviour policy.

• A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

The successful candidate will have good communication skills and the ability to work either as part of a team or independently. You will be flexible in your approach, a good listener and communicator, and have positive attitudes to young people. Good organisational and strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Outlook, Excel) are also highly desirable. Previous experience of working with young people would be an advantage but not essential.
