We are looking to appoint an experienced and forward-thinking teacher to work with our SENDCO in leading this work throughout our dynamic school.

The role of the Deputy SENDCO is to support the provision of SEND across the school. You will have a passion for ensuring that all students, regardless of need or ability, are able to access a curriculum appropriate to their needs and to achieve success within this curriculum.

The SEND Faculty comprises of one SENDCO, two transition teachers, three HLTAs (including the internal exams assessor) and a team of LSAs. You will work with Faculty and Curriculum Leaders to promote this important graduated response to need and work with all staff to ensure our SEND learners are successful in preparation for adulthood, both academically and socially and emotionally. You will also liaise with parents to ensure we have a full understanding of needs.

This role will include 4-6 hours additional non-contact time compared with a full timetable.

This role is highly important to the continuing progress of Marple Hall, and there is much that the successful applicants will be able to do in order to make their mark and further develop this area of the school. Further experiences and skill development will be provided to support your career development and promotion opportunities. Excellent further professional development is offered by the school.
