Overview

Marriott Primary School is set in the heart of the dynamic and vibrant Saffron Lane estate. We are all extremely proud of our school. Marriott Primary is a school where pupils feel safe within a happy and stimulating environment, where every child is encouraged to enjoy learning and develop a lively and enquiring mind.

Our numbers on roll are increasing year on year and we are currently oversubscribed for F2, Year 1, Year 2, Year 3 and Year 4. We also have a F1 Unit offering quality childcare for morning sessions.

We have developed a new curriculum based on the International Primary Curriculum which develops children’s understanding of Leicester, Great Britain and the wider world. The children enjoy exploring topics which take them around the world.

Marriott believe that the basis for education is an enquiring mind, personal values based on principle, moral code and good adult role models. Everyone is capable of true fulfilment whatever their background, culture or personal circumstances.

About Us

Our extremely positive Ofsted report and growing academic standards are only part of our story. We are determined to ignite in our pupils a lifelong zest for learning; building high self-esteem and a strong determination to succeed.

At Marriott Primary School we continually to strive to improve all areas of school life so that our children have the best possible opportunities given to them to succeed.

We encourage our pupils to be responsible for their learning and behaviour, to grow in confidence and become independent learners. We expect our pupils to be well-behaved and show respect to all they work and play with.

We offer a wide variety of after school clubs to encourage children to learn and participate outside of the school day. This fantastic range includes sports, coding, gardening, cooking and even a street dance club.

We feel privileged to lead a team of talented and committed staff who provide exciting and stimulating lessons and activities. We encourage our pupils to be responsible for their learning and behaviour, to grow in confidence and become independent learners. We expect our pupils to be well-behaved and show respect to all they work and play with.

Parents are essential partners in their child’s education; we believe that our pupils learn best when staff and parents work in partnership and depend on parent’s full involvement with their child’s education.

We have a supportive and hard working group of governors who are highly skilled in different areas. Governors and staff work together to provide our pupils with the very best learning opportunities.
