The Governors of Mary Immaculate High School are seeking to appoint a well-qualified and
enthusiastic maternity cover teacher of Religious Education beginning September/October 2024.
The Religious Education Department is part of the highly successful Humanities Faculty. Pupils
are provided with a wide range of opportunities to consolidate knowledge and skills and
subsequently results are very strong. It will be an excellent place to build your career and take
opportunities for you to progress further.
Mary Immaculate has a strong supportive and academic reputation. Staff support and
development is at the heart of everything we do – our Professional development model has been
published and our pastoral support has been published many times as an example of good
practice.
We are fortunate to have an exceptional group of staff who are extremely dedicated and committed to providing the children with a first-class education. We only recruit the finest teachers who will inspire, motivate and challenge our students to be the ‘best they can be’. We are an Investor in People in the 'truest' sense. We will invest in 'you' to ensure you can perform to the best of your ability and then encourage you to progress to the next stage of your career, whether that be with us or elsewhere. We offer an extensive programme of in-house training including our own Excellent and Good teacher programmes, Middle and Senior Leader Training (including in conjunction with the Cabot Learning Federation), a full induction programme and pastoral support. We aim to appoint ambitious, dedicated staff.
The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people. We expect all members of staff to share this commitment. An enhanced DBS disclosure is required for this post.
