Please note as a result of the current Coronavirus (COV-19) interviews may be carried out remotely via Microsoft TEAMS or SKYPE.  

We require an enthusiastic member of staff to work as an Emotional Literacy Support Assistant at Meadhurst Primary School on a permanent basis.

Working Pattern: Monday – Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm (with an hour unpaid lunch break) 

The post holder will support the Pastoral Team with caseloads, deliver pastoral interventions related to needs of pupils and deliver ELSA intervention, measuring the impact against outcomes.  

Candidates should have basic numeracy and literacy skills, e.g. through GCSE qualifications in English and Maths or equivalent, or be able to evidence ability at an equivalent level. Excellent interpersonal and listening skills are essential, as is a commitment to helping each student achieve their full potential.

This position may be of interest to people who wish to consider a career in teaching, to get classroom experience prior to commencing teacher training.
