Learning Resources Assistant

 Location: Mercia Academy, Swadlincote

 Salary: Grade 7 (£26,832 - £28,146 pro-rata)

 Part- time hours (27.5 hours per week) and term time (40 weeks per academic year)

 Closing Date: Sunday 29 March 2026 


Mercia Academy is seeking a passionate and organised Learning Resources Assistant to support the effective operation of our Learning Resource Centre and reprographics services. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire a love of reading, support curriculum delivery, and contribute to a vibrant learning environment.

Key highlights of the role:

  •  Supervise and manage the Learning Resource Centre.
  •  Support pupils and staff with library services and IT queries.
  •  Deliver inductions and promote reading across the Academy.
  •  Operate and maintain reprographics equipment and services.
  •  We’re looking for someone with excellent communication skills, a proactive attitude, and a genuine interest in supporting young people’s learning.
