The Role
King Ecgbert School is seeking to appoint a highly skilled and talented SEN Officer to drive and further develop the safeguarding culture. This is a permanent Grade 4 role (37 hours/39 weeks per year), with a start in the Spring Term.
The Candidate
An experienced administrator, with proven success, you will have the vision, enthusiasm, and drive to build on the strong foundations that already exist in the department. Innovative and resilient you will have an unwavering commitment to supporting all students, but in particular, those with SEN.

The successful candidate will:-
• Act as first point of contact for the SEN team, communicating with parents, carers and professionals as appropriate and forging good working relationships with them, and our students
• Provide advice and guidance for staff, students and others
• Effectively manage a busy and complex workload - ensuring relevant statutory and non-statutory documentation is completed in line with the SEN Code of Practice
• Have the ability to deal sensitively and discreetly with students and a wide range of stakeholders
• Have a cool head, unflappable nature and sense of humour
