Are you in search of a new opportunity to teach PE in a growing school?

Your Opportunity

We are looking for a talented and motivated Teacher of PE, who is able to inspire our students and engender a love of learning, particularly for our girls.

The PE team is committed to creating a supportive environment where professional development, learning from each other and sharing good practice is at the heart of the department.

As a department our vision is to provide a curriculum that is accessible to all students through the delivery of high quality teaching and learning of a broad range of activities. By the end of their Physical Education journey at Merstham Park, students should have developed a personal commitment to, and genuine passion for, maintaining their health and well-being into adult life.

We value the opportunities that extra-curricular can provide. As a result, we have a broad programme, and all members of the Department are actively involved in running clubs at lunchtime, coaching team practices and attending competitive matches after school. We also run an inclusive set of house tournaments throughout the year and a whole school competitive Sports Day at the end of the year. These events are centred around mass participation and developing the house ethos across all year groups.

We will offer you the support of a leadership team dedicated to helping young people striving for more and as a GLF Schools’ employee, you will be exposed to significant collaboration opportunities across our schools.

About Merstham Park School

At Merstham Park, our ethos is simple - igniting a passion for learning. We are proud to be a values driven school which encourages its staff and students to embrace these values in all that they do. This approach provides everyone with the opportunity to exceed beyond their potential.

This will include a four-badminton court sports hall, wet-weather classroom, activity studio, netball/tennis courts and range of grass pitches. Our new build will be tailored to enable our staff and students to develop unique skill sets in a truly first-class educational setting through the creation of inviting and interactive learning environments.

As the school grows the career progression for our staff is endless. We will be looking to enhance the opportunities for all staff to grow in their roles and take on additional responsibilities.

Our team of passionate staff are committed to providing children with the very best educational experience. We recognise the importance of academic success whilst embracing our wider role in preparing students for their adult life beyond the formal examined curriculum.
