Assistant Head of House (Pastoral Support) - Required September 2024
Term time only, 37 hours per week + 5 inset days
Salary: £29,269 - £31,364 (Actual pro rata salary: £25,147 - £26,947)
The role will include:
To assist House Heads in ensuring that:
- The House System is effectively managed.
- Pupils are well behaved.
- Pupils develop a sense of pride, both in their particular House and as individuals.
- Oversee attendance for the House, promoting good attendance and ensuring registers are properly maintained.
- Actively follow up attendance issues.
- To be a principal port of call for parents/carers in relation to pupil welfare, behaviour and barriers to learning.
We are looking for an individual with:
- Good interpersonal skills and able to work as an effective team member.
- Assertiveness, discretion and good communication skills.
- Experience of working with young people and/or an understanding of young people.
- The ability to work on their own and show initiative.
- A professional attitude and manner.
- Good knowledge of Google Drive, Microsoft Word and Excel (with the ability to adapt to new software packages).
- A First Aid at Work qualification (training can be provided).
