Role: Assistant Head of Key Stage Three

Location: Somervale School

Start Date: As soon as possible

Hours: Term Time Only plus 5 Inset Days
             37 hours per week, Monday - Thursday 8am - 4pm and Friday 8am - 3.30pm

Salary: Grade 5, Scale 11 - 17
             (FTE £27,269 - £30,060 per annum) Actual Salary £23,428 - £25,826 per annum

We are looking to appoint an organised, empathic and self motivated Assistant Head of Key Stage to become a key member in our fantastic Pastoral Team.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • To support the Heads of Year 7/8/9
  • To work with the tutor teams in Key Stage Three on a daily basis to monitor attendance and behaviour
  • To be a key point of contact for parents/carers in relation to student welfare, behaviour and barriers to learning
  • To act to safeguard the welfare of all students in the school
  • To be a trusted adult for all students within the key stage -to share in their successes and to be a supportive figures during challenging times
