We are looking to recruit an existing teaching assistant or HLTA, with experience of positive contributions to outcomes in KS4 and Sixth Form teaching assistance, to take a lead on:
● Leadership of the SEND team, in the absence of SENDCO
● Some team performance management, as directed by SENDCO
● Baseline assessments to identify strengths that can be further developed as well as
areas that require improvement
● Collating evidence for exam access arrangements
● Documentation consideration, preparation and collation for students with SEND
(including EHCP, annual review evidence and K code Student Passports)
● Support of SENDCO and/or dSENDCO in the annual review process
The role will be full time and answer directly to the SENDCO.
The successful candidate will commence the role during term 6, June 1st 2026 or at the beginning of term 1, September 2026 - a fixed term contract for one year, in the first instance.
