We are delighted to advertise the role of full time Associate Assistant Headteacher, SENDCo. This is a new post, working alongside Deputy Headteacher to lead and play a pivotal role in the running of the SEND base and ensuring the correct provision is in place to support our SEND students.

This is an exciting opportunity for an established and experienced teacher with a background in working in Special Educational needs. If you are passionate about supporting SEND students and are looking for an opportunity to develop in a rapidly expanding and successful school, this may be the ideal opportunity for you.

 Main duties of the post will include:

● Leading on the identification, assessment, provision and multi-agency working for all students with Special Education Needs and Disabilities

● Ensuring the school meets its statutory duty of EHCPs and annual reviews

● Raising standards of student inclusion, attainment and achievement for all students with additional needs

● Management and deployment of resources (including Teaching Assistants) under, ensuring they are used efficiently, effectively and safely

● Administration tasks, the deployment of staff within the SEND department, supporting staff development and training

● Liaising with staff, parents, external agencies and other schools to coordinate their contribution, to provide maximum support for each student

● Advising and liaising with all staff to develop a broad, balanced and inclusive curriculum to help all students with additional needs, referring students to the appropriate external agencies for support as required
